The dance theme continues. Yesterday Soca, now we shift south to Samba. It's not a genre that I know at all well, despite listening to it for decades. So I tend to take my lead from collections assembled by people who ought to know. It's Italian Thursday which means that nearly ½ today's tracks come from that language. Given that the featured song is “Uno dei tanti”, probably better known to anglophone audiences via the Welsh windbags Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones. As usual the year 1972 is dominated by American soul.
