Learning the Spanish Language — Project Day 11

Today was the most productive, so far.

I was able to tick-off every item in the routine. And although I ticked-off fewer tasks, that's merely an artefact of the accounting system.

In truth, I spent more time on Spanish acquisition, was more acutely focused and learned considerably more than previously.

Review

I wasn't up at 7.30, but got enough done before session 1 to consider the 'get going' phase complete.

That said, I still haven't fully cracked the 'early to bed and early to rise' imperative.

The first part of that couplet is the one which demands most effort of will. Because you just can't win the fight for sleep — after you've already lost the sleep. And, because I've never had much difficulty getting up to the sound of an alarm.

I had significant 'issues' with interrogative pronouns — Qué vs. Cual.

It's a common problem for English speakers, but I was completely unaware that I had it — still less, that I had it badly.

I really need to return to this topic and eliminate my errors, soon. This stuff is way too fundamental to pass by.

I should also check on whether there are similar issues with my Italian or French.

I ran out of enough time, and puff, to complete the exercises I had planned on verbs that are irregular in the preterite tense. So verb exercises will get a bigger share of the time and focus tomorrow.

If my biggest 'win' today was the quantity of in-depth learning — the second biggest was a full cycling session, that practically smothered my usual mid-afternoon sleepiness.
